In Amun-Re, each pharaoh wants to build the most pyramids. To accomplish this, they must first acquire a province where they can trade and farm. With their profits, they can buy new provinces and building stones to erect pyramids. For all their actions, players must make clever use of their power cards and always offer appropriate sacrifices to Amun-Re. Ultimately, the goal in Amun-Re is to amass the most wealth and influence in ancient Egypt. Wealth is gained through crops, income, and completed monuments, while influence is determined by control of regions and the favor of the gods. Balancing these two factors is crucial for securing victory. The favor of the gods plays a significant role in Amun-Re. Random event cards and the annual Nile flood can significantly impact gameplay, influencing resource availability, crop yields, and monument scoring. Adapting to these divine interventions is necessary to stay ahead in the game. This reprint of Reiner Knizia´s classic tabletop game is for 2 - 5 players, suitable for ages 12+ and plays in around 90 minutes.
